A delightful Organic single estate black tea from the Temi Estate in Sikkim, India. The state of Sikkim is nestled between Bhutan and Nepal, north of Darjeeling and is unique for its agriculture being fully Organic since 2016! The Temi tea estate is the only tea garden in Sikkim, and Valerie was fortunate enough to meet representatives from the garden when she visited the Darjeeling region in 2018. The growing season, climate and tea bushes are similar to Darjeeling, hence the teas share a similarity, but Sikkim teas are known for their floral notes. Complex, lively and bright, this is a delightful afternoon tea.

Brewing Notes || 1 teaspoon per cup, 100ºC, brew for 3 minutes.

I haven't had this tea for many years and it's as lovely as I remember. Really lovely balanced and fragrant brew. Now I have found Team Tea this will be my go to Darjeeling-style tea.

Solid black tea

By any measure this is a tasty and balanced black tea, but I have been unable to extract any of the floral delicacy or occasional fruity notes one gets out of darjeeling (including the Margaret's Hope available from TT).

I have tried a variety of temperatures, brew times, and leaf-to-water ratios.
