Black Emerald Organic - Colombia

An exciting Organic black tea from Colombia. Colombia may be better known for its coffee production, but tea has been grown since the 1950s when the government sought to diversify its agriculture and imported tea plants from Sri Lanka and Cambodia. Grown on volcanic soils at relatively high altitudes of between 1800 and 2050m on the West side of the Andes. The large twisted leaves result in a medium bodied tea with a hint of sweetness and chocolate notes on the finish and a pleasant aftertaste. Brew at 100°C for 4 minutes.
